Why is drawing and colouring so important for the child?

Drawing and colouring promotes children's creativity and motor skills. It is a wonderful way to express and process feelings!

Children experience colours directly and differently from adults, so it is important what colours surround the child and what colours educators and parents offer children to paint with.

In the beginning, it makes sense to offer the children wax colouring blocks in the basic colours, but as time goes on, more and more colours are added.
Wax crayon blocks are colour-intensive and can be used for large areas. It is possible to paint fine lines or large areas with them. The blocks are easy to grip and can be painted harmoniously on top of each other.

Later, wax crayons are added and then also coloured pencils.

Painting and drawing

  • promotes creativity
  • makes it possible to experience the qualities of colour
  • trains motor skills
  • promotes frustration tolerance
  • improves concentration
  • helps to process experiences
  • relaxes

There is no right or wrong in free painting! It is a wonderful way to express yourself and experience yourself.
