Seasons play an important role in Waldorf education. By perceptively immersing themselves in the seasons through the seasonal table and by celebrating festivals, children learn to understand and appreciate natural rhythms, they are encouraged in their creative development and supported on their way to becoming self-confident and balanced individuals. Exploring the world with all senses

The seasons play a crucial role in children's development. The changes in nature provide children with opportunities to heighten their senses and explore their environment.

Children learn to understand and appreciate natural rhythms by observing and celebrating the changing seasons. Through hands-on activities such as gardening and handicrafts, children become connected to nature and experience the importance of rhythm and balance in life.

Spring, summer, autumn and winter

Each season brings its own beauty and challenges to explore and appreciate. In spring, children can watch flowers grow and bloom; in summer, they can play outdoors; and in autumn, they can admire the rich colours of the leaves. In winter, children can experience falling snow and building snowmen. These experiences not only enhance their senses, but also their creativity and imagination. Sporting activities associated with the seasons, such as hiking in autumn or skiing in winter, also promote children's physical development and strengthen their motor skills. In addition, through the celebration of festivals and customs in each season, children learn the importance of traditions and community. They learn that they are part of a larger community and that they share their lives with others.

Waldorf education also emphasises the importance of the senses and artistic expression in nurturing children's development. Children are encouraged to explore the world with all their senses and to express their experiences artistically. By combining practical and creative activities, children are nurtured to become confident and balanced individuals.
